• You’ll need to be able to use a mobile phone 
• Learners must have completed the Temporary Traffic Management Basic Course (TTMBC) if new to the industry or if they do not hold other current NHSS 12ABCD TTM skills registration cards/certificates (excluding 12D M7).

This course has been developed to help you become a  Registered Traffic Management Operative.

At the end of this course, you’ll have a better understanding of: 

• Health and Safety at work. This includes how risk assessments and method statements impact on work duties
• Relevant codes of practice and other associated documentation when involved in temporary traffic management 
• The equipment required in Temporary Traffic Management, and legal obligations when placing equipment on the highway 
• The requirements for Mobile and Short duration works
• Different methods of both passive and positive traffic control 
• The principles involved when dealing with roundabouts, road closures and diversions

Anyone who needs to become a Registered Traffic Management Operative (RTMO). It will build on what you’ve learnt in Module 1 (M1).
