About NRSWA Unit O1

Unit O1 is designed for operatives and supervisors responsible for setting up signing, lighting, and guarding for street works. 

This course teaches them how to plan and execute street works while ensuring safety for themselves and those around them.

How much does the Unit O1 training cost?

Your employees can complete NRSWA’s Unit O1 for as little as £150 pp upfront - or you can choose to spread the cost over 12 or 24 months.  

How long will the qualification last?

The Unit O1 qualification will stay valid for five years. This is the case for all NRSWA courses.

Is the NRSWA O1 certificate suitable for supervisors?

Yes, supervisors can complete the NRSWA O1 training. However, it won’t qualify them to supervise signing, lighting, and guarding. If they want to do that, they should check out the NRSWA Unit S1 course instead.

How long does the course take?

This Streetworks course only takes 1 day to complete. Not long at all! 

What do attendees need to bring?

Anyone completing the course should bring:

  • A valid form of ID, such as a passport or driving licence.
  • PPE for the practical assessments, including high-vis vests or jackets, safety boots, a hard hat, safety gloves, and safety glasses.
